SmartLIFE Promotional Stick
Over the last 3 years, SmartLIFE International has been instrumental in addressing and delivering solutions to common sustainability issues faced in European growth areas. This year the SmartLIFE project team held their International Conference at the Business and Training centre in Cambridge on the 8th & 9th of May.
Pinstripe Creative was contracted by Trait Design to produce an electronic, interactive application that would link together various documents and information regarding the SmartLIFE project and the conference event. This was specifically programmed to automatically run from a custom printed USB memory stick when inserted into a PC or laptop. This allowed 1000’s of pages of text and images to be passed to delegates without the requirement for folders and printed inserts.
Several issues present themselves when running active content from a memory stick, but the Pinstripe Creative technician overcame these and produced a fantastic application which exceeded the client’s expectation. A custom application and hardware setup was also designed in-house, to allow the memory sticks to be duplicated in bulk, reducing the turnaround time of this and future similar projects.
