Kent Blaxill Refresh
The client had an existing website but felt its functionality and usability were restricted and that as a marketing tool the site could work better. They also felt that the navigation was slightly confusing to users and that the site overall required updating and refreshing.
To begin with, the team at Pinstripe Creative analysed the navigation structure to see how it could be made more intuitive for users. It was decided that a horizontal system, with a second sub-section on a lower line for additional categories, was needed. This meant that the top-level navigation was constant thus avoiding confusion between pages. Simple thumbnail links from the homepage to specific areas were added, so that users can go instantly to the products or service they require at a glance.
The aesthetics of the site were then addressed, adhering to the strong corporate identity that the client has. Again, a clean simple approach was required, with images used only where needed and a good use of ‘white space’, so-as not to bombard the user with anything unnecessary.
The client was extremely happy with the finished website and due to clean coding and some basic optimisation, has seen visitors to the website increase and search engine results improve.
